Now made out of new unbreakable copolymer with 3mm (!/8”) retaining pin holes to capture the rowlock in the socket. The plastic holding body rotates on the pin ensuring very low rates of wear, while the gate captures the oar for safety. The plastic is shaped to accommodate the rowing stroke and reduce wear on the oar.
